The Hague University of Applied Sciences is currently working through a transition that will see it change from an educational institution to a knowledge institution, to an innovation partner for organisations, the government and the business sector. Research and knowledge circulation are vital to the success of this transition. In the research we conduct as a networking university of applied sciences, we opt deliberately for partners that could provide added value and social anchoring to the research in question. A certain amount of interplay exists between social developments and the research we do. Our research responds to these developments, on the one hand, while contributing to these developments on the other hand. In this part of this document, we show how The Hague University of Applied Sciences has given shape to its research in the year under review.
